Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Walt Disney World resort, is pure, time-honored Disney magic. Holiday revelers at the Magic Kingdom can catch the spirit of the season through enchanting entertainment that includes live shows, fireworks, carolers and special character meet and greets. Delight in the lights shimmering like ice on Cinderella Castle! And hum along with the holiday music that fills the air. It’s a time for wishes to come true!
The night wouldn’t be complete without the ever present forecast of snow flurries along Main Street, U.S.A. and a warm cup of cocoa in hand. Party-goers also enjoy complimentary cookies and apple slices and unlimited admission to many favorite Disney attractions. Continue reading 2014 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World
One of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World is during the holidays, especially at Halloween, when the park holds Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
During the Halloween season, the train station, entrance to The Magic Kingdom and Main Street U.S.A. are decorated with orange and brown bunting, carved jack-o-lanterns, hay bales, fall flowers and scarecrows that are dressed as Main Street U.S.A. cast members. It’s a fun, festive look and gives Main Street U.S.A. even more of a down home feel. Continue reading 2014 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney World

Have you ever heard the saying: “If you ever see me run, you should start running too… because something is probably chasing me!” Ha!! That’s what gets me moving.
However, if these aren’t the words that inspire you to run like they do me–and you like to run for the exercise–then you may be interested in running a marathon at Walt Disney World. Personally, if I was ever going to run for exercise, the only place I would want to do it is at Walt Disney World.
If you are a runner, grab your running shoes and get ready to run the most magical course on earth! And Disney decided to make even easier to join the fun by offering a Magic Your Way® Package for the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend, Jan. 7-11, 2015. Look at all it includes: Continue reading Disney World 2015 Marathon Dates Released
With My Disney Experience taking over the phones of guests at the Walt Disney World resort, it’s obvious that there just aren’t enough electrical outlets for all the charging that needs to be done. To say nothing of people using their phones for photos, texting and Facebook posting! Well, Disney is working on some changes for that with complimentary phone charging lockers that began testing in the Magic Kingdom today, April 25, 2014. Continue reading Magic Kingdom Tests Free Cell Charging Lockers
On April 10, 2014, people from around the world will unite in a singalong to commemorate the 50th anniversary of “It’s A Small World,” the Walt Disney classic attraction that opened at the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Continue reading Celebrate “It’s a Small World” 50th Annivesary with Disney
The Epcot resorts are my first choice in Walt Disney World. I prefer this area above the Monorail Resorts. The convenience factor is the first reason I like this area. The dining convenience tops the list. You can add 22 restaurants to your list of dining options, all within walking distance of two Disney theme parks. There is a leisurely walking path that runs along the water by the Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios. The International Gateway of Epcot brings you to a path to the Epcot resorts.. Continue reading Epcot Resorts Are My First Choice!
With spring right around the corner, I wanted to share some information about the great pools at Walt Disney World’s moderate resorts. The moderate resorts are a great choice for families that have a modest budget but still want a few more amenities.
Ahoy Matties! Take a dip in the Old Pirate Ship themed pool at the Caribbean Beach Resort. This is one of a total of seven pools. The main pool, which is a zero entry access, Fuentes del Morro, is located in Old Port Royale Centertown. This pool offers showers and a hot tub. Don’t worry about carrying your towel to the pool. They are provided for you. Nice amenity, right?
Adjacent to this pool, is a water area reserved for children under 48″ tall. This play area is shallow and great for small children. The water play area also has 2 mini slides and 2 medium size slides. There is also a small kiddie pool. Continue reading The Pools of Disney World’s Moderate Resorts
For those of us who have experience the amazing resorts at Walt Disney World, it’s no surprise to learn that 6 of them were included in the top 15 hotels in all of Orlando. And for anyone who doesn’t know, Orlando is a HUGE city with several theme parks in the surrounding area and, literally, thousands of of hotels. So this is a VERY big deal and definitely something for fans of the Walt Disney World Resort to be excited about.
Of course, we all want to know which resorts made the top 15. So wait no more, here’s the answer: Continue reading Walt Disney World Resort Hotels Rank High In National Poll!
When I visit Walt Disney World I always like to stay on Disney property. It feels so immersive. The Disney owned resorts are so amazing. There are other choices that still will put you on Disney property. There are the hotels in Downtown Disney. These hotels are very close to Downtown. You will still have the Disney feel. The big difference is they are just hotels. If you want a resort feel the Disney Resorts are the best way to go. Or are they? On August 3, 2014 a Four Seasons Resort is opening on Disneyworld property. This Four Seasons boasts Disney World theme park views from some of the rooms.
